Israeli astronaut and founder of the Rakia Mission, Eytan Stibbe, has been appointed Chancellor of the International Space University (ISU).
This appointment marks a powerful recognition of Israel’s growing impact on the global space scene.

The launch of the Ax-1 mission in 2022 marked the first-ever private voyage to the International Space Station, with Israeli astronaut Eytan Stibbe among those on board. Rakia, Israel’s first ISS mission, engaged the Israeli public through scientific experiments and technology demonstrations, a wide range of educational programs in Hebrew, and a series of artworks by Israeli artists. In doing so, it has proven the huge potential of Israeli activity and research in space.
