Our Vision
Rakia's mission is to advance the space industry in Israel by developing a sustainable ecosystem that connects industry, academia, science and the arts. We are committed to promoting national and international collaborations, while providing opportunities for individuals, companies, organizations and institutions to develop their activities through space exploration, in pursuit of a vision of 'space for everyone.
Ax-1 Mission
The launch of the Ax-1 mission in 2022 marked the first-ever private voyage to the International Space Station, with Israeli astronaut Eytan Stibbe among those on board. Rakia, Israel’s first ISS mission, engaged the Israeli public through scientific experiments and technology demonstrations, a wide range of educational programs in Hebrew, and a series of artworks by Israeli artists. In doing so, it has proven the huge potential of Israeli activity and research in space.
