In a meeting last week in the President’s Residence, Israeli President Isaac Herzog gave me a glass cube engraved with the prayer for the well-being of the State of Israel, in its author’s handwriting – the author being the President’s grandfather, Israel’s first Chief Rabby, Isaac Halevy Herzog, RIP. The prayer was also authored by Rabbi Ben-Zion Hai Uziel with assistance from Author Shai Agnon.
